The Montana Rack VST is built by deeply sampling our personal Yamaha Motif Rack Classic (2001) and Yamaha Montage M6 (2023). Each preset was recorded over 100 times, processed & filtered to faithfully match the character and quality of the original hardware.

The Motif Rack Classic is beloved for its rich, early-2000s acoustic PCM sounds — especially strings and other realistic instrument patches. When designing custom presets, we turn to this rack module for its detailed and expressive tonal character.

200+ presets, each sampled hundreds of times directly from our own original hardware units.

This is precision sampling — no corners cut. Every instrument was deeply multisampled to capture the full character, dynamics, and texture of the rackmount gear that helped define early 2000s Trap, Glo, Plugg, and today’s underground production sound.
